With our experience over the years doing advanced flight training and sightseeing we found that many people have had a real interest in flying that was never satisfied. Some may have started training for their pilot license but never finished. For others, it will take a husband, wife, or friend to buy them a gift certificate for a sightseeing flight or an introductory lesson to take that first step. Unfortunately, not everyone is in a position to pay for their pilot training then buy or rent a plane on a regular basis to maintain their skills. With modern technology the cost of flight simulators has come down dramatically and many people are satisfying their flying interest on their computers. Unfortunately, people run into several roadblocks when trying out flight simulators on their own:
For about $1500 someone can now buy a good computer, LCD monitor, simulator flight controls, and a flight simulator program. Now how do you learn how to fly it? At WCA we offer customized simulator training programs to meet everyone's needs. We refer to our simulator training as Virtual Pilot License (VPL) training. We treat the simulator like a real airplane and we treat the training like a real flight lesson... and we ALWAYS want you to have FUN! An introductory lesson is only $25 and there are package rates after that. If you just want to learn how to fly your home simulator a little better or want to try it to see if you'll like it, our Basic 3, 5, and 10 lesson packages may be what you need. If you are really serious about learning to fly your simulator like the real-thing then you can sign-up for the full Virtual Pilot License program. The initial 15 lessons will get you your VPL. Once you have the VPL you can get advanced training from their to learn how to fly multi-engine aircraft, turbine & jet aircraft, and how to fly in the clouds (Instrument Flight Rules, or IFR Please call or email if you have any questions or would like to make an appointment to see our training programs and simulator. Virtual Pilot Simulator Training Price List Introduction Virtual Lesson: $25 Each program comes with a training binder of course material, a userid/password to our online training website, and all the reference material required.
7% GST is added to all prices. Prices are based on pre-paid package rates of $25/hr simulator and $35/hr instructor. Each lesson is 2-2.5 hrs long with 1-1.5 hrs in the simulator. Non-Package hourly rates are $30/hr simulator and $40/hr instructor. Lessons are at our office at the North Field of the Ottawa International Airport. Private lessons can also been given on home simulators anywhere in the Ottawa, Gatineau area. We are available to give group presentations to your flying club, computer club, or youth group. GIFT CERTIFICATES are available (individual $ amounts or packages) and make the ideal birthday, Christmas, Father's or Mother's day, or graduation gift. |
